Yorkshire Water improving pipes in Bradley

Yorkshire Water are in the midst of the largest ever investment programme across Yorkshire worth £8.3bn to improve infrastructure and services for our customers.  A large part of this is replacing clean water mains. We’ve identified areas where the mains are in most need of replacement because they are old and prone to bursting.

Bradley has been identified as one of these areas and so we plan to upgrade 1.4km of pipes here over the next few months.

The first phase of the work starts on Monday 26th October as a requirement of the permit was for it to be completed during the school holidays.

Following these initial connection works, we will then return in January to begin work on the full project. This will include further work on Heath Crescent and Skipton Road, as well as work on Heath Drive, Ings Drive, Raines Drive, Woodfield Drive, and Green Close. We’ll be in touch closer to the time to confirm the details for the work on these streets.

We know these measures can be disruptive and want to thank you for your patience. We’ll be working with our partner, United Infrastructure, and the local highways team to ensure our programme keeps everyone safe and aim to minimise disruption to the community.

I’d also like to ask for your help in raising awareness within the area of our Priority Services Register.  Details can be found here on our website: Priority Services Register (PSR). If you know of anyone who you think maybe eligible, I’d be grateful if you pass the details onto them.
